Long lines at Baskin Robbins in Hiroo

I always pay attention to Baskin Robbins ("31" in Japan) when I take a walk around Tokyo. Only the branch in Hiro has 2 persons at the register as opposed to the usual 3, and only this branch has the longest lines. What a shame! Poor workers are always afraid of irritated customers and always lack time.

Я всегда обращаю внимание на Baskin Robbins ("31" в Японии), когда гуляю по Токио.  Только в магазине на Хироо всего два кассира в противовес обычным трем, и только в этом магазине самые длинные очереди. Безобразие! Бедные работники всегда боятся раздраженных покупателей и им всегда не хватает времени.

Odaiba Hawaiian Festival 2015

This year's Golden Week was very exciting. We could visit the annual Hawaii Festival in Odaiba and enjoy Tahitian dancing.

Pretty owls in Ushigome-Kagurazaka (牛込神楽坂)

The owner of this house had gathered quite a collection of owls! I bet he has some inside as well. I saw them on my way to a New Zealand honey shop in Ushigome-Kagurazaka.

Traditional sweets from Kyoto

I have just got a tasty souvenir from a famous Kyoto geisha. This is Kit Kat Uji-matched and traditional Japanese sweets called 大納言清澄.  They are made from adzuki bean 小豆 and agar-agar 寒天.

I couldn't find an English translation, but it is read as dainagonseichou (だいなごんせいちょう) and is considered a high-class wagashi 和菓子

Heart-shaped cucumbers

I love Japanese Valentine's Day cucumbers! They didn't sell well, so we can still buy some. Also, they are available in a star shape.

This is just wonderful, isn't it, laeies? An ad of a hair salon.

Я покажу вам мою коллекцию объявлений на Ингрише, то на японском английском. Плюс постараюсь перевести значение ошибки на русский. 

Это просто чудесно, не правда ли? В объявлении салона красоты вместо Ladies - Laeies. у перепутали d и e, с кем не бывает... ^_^

Curry restaurant TOMATO in Ogikubo (荻窪のトマト）

This tiny restaurant in Ogikubo serves curry, stew and Hungarian goulash. It is run by an old married Japanese couple.
Этот крохотный ресторан в Огикубо подает карри, тушеное мясо и венгерский гуляш.

As "Tomato" is very famous among curry lovers, they may run out of curry just before you get in. That's what happened to us this Valentine's Day. After an hour of queueing in front of the restaurant in the freezing cold, we had to go home empty-handed. Also, we were told that the restaurant had stopped providing a take-out service.

Так как "Tomato" очень популярен среди любителей карри, карри может закончиться до того, как вы войдете. С нами такое случилось на День Валентина. После часа в очереди на собачьем холоде нам пришлось возвращаться домой не солоно хлебавши. Также нам сообщили, что ресторан перестал продавать карри "на вынос".

Sailor Moon goods

Today I finally bought the "Miracle Romance Moon Crystal Gummi". Yep, Engrish it is.
The package says: "からだの中からキレイをMake Up!", which roughly means "Let's become beautiful from the inside out!"
The gummies come in 4 shapes, 3 of which are shown on the package. It's Luna's head, a star, the moon and Sailor Moon's bow.

Сегодня я наконец-то купила жевательные конфеты "Miracle Romance Moon Crystal Gummi". Да, это Engrish. На упаковке написано (приблизительно): "Давайте станем красивыми, начиная изнутри". На самом деле там игра слов с словосочетанием Make UP, которое в российском переводе сериала звучала как "(Лунная призма, дай мне силу").

Конфетки имееют 4 формы: голова кошки Луны, звезда, луна и бант Сейлор Мун.
